    Time Conditions

    It would be nice if we could set up different time conditions so depending on the time it would do different functions, like when we are closed it would go to a we are closed message.

    We have started development on this capability. We do not have an ETA as of yet, but with monthly release cycles, it should be relatively soon.

    Music On Hold

    Allow custom .mpd upload for music on-hold.

    We are looking into this. It will only be MP3, however. This is the most requested type.

    add a company directory to the phones

    I believe is a bug and not a new feature considering it it existed on the old phonebooth. I expected all key features to be part of the beta. As before the company listing should be on the phones.

    We had this in our alpha, but had a major issue with how the phones worked. If a new user was added, the phones wold need to be rebooted to realize them. We are working on alternatives that are less phone make and model specific.

    Allow free users to buy add-ons w/o having user subscriptions.

    With the release of Phonebooth Free I'm seeing where many users will hit the wall on the limits pretty quick.     BLF (Busy Lamp Field) presence

    Our receptionist have requested this VERY strongly. They'd like to be able to tell by the lights on their expansion module (sidecar) if the extension is busy or on DND.

    Or at the very least a web interface that wouldn't time-out that they could reference.

    We've tested in our labs with Polycom. And are planning for a future release to enable this for Polycom's.

    Automatic recording of incoming calls. Would be nice to know what is being said to our clients.

    Automatic recording of all incoming calls with a verbal disclaimer. Google voice records incoming calls upon pressing #4, but it would be nice if a paid service like phonebooth could do it automatically, with a calls are being recorded for quality control purposes disclaimer. What do you all think?

    We have been looking at call recording for quite some time. Our first release will most likely be an Ad Hoc method to choose an option to record. Recording all calls or a % of inbound calls is very problematic and will probably not be added until we start working on call center functionality.

    Make it easier to forward calls. Espcially if you are in and out of the office (one button push)

    Rather than have to log in, click the user, then the tab for find me, follow me, then put the number in and change the duration of the ring....if there was a number, say you cell phone, you forward to all the time, can you add a quick forward button that can enable all that above automatically.

    We are looking at ways to make it possible to add forwarding capabilities on the IP-phones. We will also take a look at being able to forward calls from the voice-mail box.

    Dial by first name option

    I'd like the option of using a dial by first name directory rather than last name.

    allow users to save follow me call flows and enable or disable.

    Our account was setup using a specific domain and now pb2 does not allow email addresses other than that domain, not everyone on the company uses their work email as primary!

    add texting capabilities

    Many of our clients only respond to text messages. According to Wikipedia, 2.4 billion out of 3.3 billion phone subscribers, at the end of 2007, are active users of the Short Message Service. Another form of communication that is rapidly becoming popular

    Ability to put on hold on Phonebooth Free

    I'd love to see this, because this would be very important for startups as well, that can't afford PB OnDemand. custom hold music and messages would be nice too.

    DID forwarding

    On the old legecy system you could forward a DID to another phone number.

    Its important to be able to forward a DID to another provider like eFax.

    It would be nice to have this built into the admin under "Numbers & Devises"

    Call transfer/hold on Find-me calls

    When calls go out to a Find-Me destination, currently the call is stuck there. Need the ability for a remote user, on a landline/cell who receives a Find-Me Follow-Me call to transfer the call to another extension or number.     Report who picks up a call from within a Group

    We need to be able to tell who answered the call to give the employee credit for the call. I find that reporting this is important for training, monitoring, and evaluation of employees.

    At this time, we really only have call logging. We are planning more in-depth reporting capabilities.

    Disconnection message

    During a recent outage on Phonebooth, many callers told us later that they were concerned by a standard "this number has been disconnected or is no longer in service" message they had received.

    Add Call barge in, break in, or listen in for observational training of employees

    50% of our employee's work is done on the phone, and we are advocates of observational training in real time. Also, if an employee starts to say something that puts us in a legal problem, then the manager can interrupt and handle the call.

    ATA needed for many applications

    Need a compatible ATA device to allow PB to be integrated into various analog devices...ex. overhead paging system, cordless 'walmart' phone, external ringer..many others

    allow access from iPhones

    Error message says browser on iphone is not supported.

    We are investigating other browser support and plan on opening the Phonebooth OnDemand Web portal to other browsers.
